About Diamond Pro

Matt Dryer has been an important part of the baseball scene in Rochester for some time. As a standout player at McQuaid Jesuit High School in 1998, Matt was named as a USA Today High School All-American. As a senior, he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 35th round. Instead of signing, Matt attend the University of Miami on a full scholarship. He played on the Hurricanes team that won the 2001 National Championship ("College World Series") in Omaha NE. While at the U of M, Matt was drafted again by the San Francisco Giants in the 15th round.

After playing baseball for more than seven years with the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals, Matt Dryer returned to the Rochester area. He used his professional baseball experience to create Diamond Pro (DP).

Diamond Pro started with just hitting lessons. He used his experiences from attending the Bucky Dent Hitting School in Florida along with the use of the latest drills, tools, and high speed video with stop action analysis, to help numerous players improve their hitting. Today, DP has evolved into a full-scale baseball academy which offers private one-on-one lessons for hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching and catching. DP's camps and clinics are second to none and offer an unparalleled staff of current and former professional players. DP’s College/Pro Showcase has helped over 50 student-athletes go on to play at the collegiate level along with six, and counting, sign professional contracts. DP offers college recruiting counseling and recruiting videos for exposure for our players.

DP boasts eleven travel teams with paid coaches from local high schools and regional colleges. These teams give student-athletes an opportunity to develop emotionally and physically while becoming true ball players and learning how to play the game the right way. All this while experiencing elite tournament play.

Diamond Pro is not only a baseball academy, but a great place for kids to learn valuable lessons and work ethic that will carry them through life. DP’s mission is to help kids learn the game of baseball properly and to nurture the future leaders of the Greater Rochester community. We look forward to working with your student-athlete.
