Director of DP Catching:

 Cory Brownsten

A 2008 MCC graduate, Brownsten helped lead the Tribunes to a pair of NJCAA World Series appearances, including a third-place finish at the end of the 2008 season. Brownsten was a first team NJCAA All-American that year, while also receiving the Rawlings Gold Glove and Easton Defensive Player of the Year awards.

Brownsten then moved onto NCAA Division I University of Pittsburgh where he was named first team All-Big East. Following his successful college career, Brownsten was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 15th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft.

In 2012, he was the Rome Braves Defensive Player of the Year and Baseball America tabbed him as the Catcher of the Year for the South Atlantic League.

Cory is currently in his 9th year as an assistant coach at Monroe Community College, one of the top junior colleges in the country
